Inclusion
People think inclusion is letting someone in.
NO!
A person being at your event is just a part of your event.
Inclusion is when one accept the presence and make some changes to make the individual feel welcomed.
A person’s right is to be part of the group.
She or he is already grateful.
But, inclusion comes when, there is conscious effort to make a place for the person to contribute.
Lets talk about one simple effort:
Learning a language is always very desirable, like these days since school days, students are learning French, German, Chinese or Sanskrit.
And when it is expected out of a person with hearing impairment to learn to communicate with society, the society is reluctant to learn sign language for few others in need, people are busy learning other languages they might use later.
